The Shire of Denmark is seeking your feedback for the development of a new Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) for 2023-2028.

The purpose of the DAIP is to ensure that all people, including people with disability, are welcomed and included by the Shire of Denmark and can access our buildings, information, feedback and complaints processes, services and employment opportunities.

We want your ideas on how we can make the Shire of Denmark more accessible and inclusive for everyone.


How can you get involved, find out more or provide feedback?

Public Comment Period Open: 2 April - 17 April 2024.

Following community consultation in late 2023, we have now reached the public comment period for the draft DAIP which incorporates community input.

You can get involved by reading the draft DAIP 2023-2028 and contributing your thoughts as part of the public comment period. There are a number of ways you can do this:

  • Online via the form below
  • Email us at enquiries@denmark.wa.gov.au
  • Send us a letter to PO Box 183 Denmark WA 6333
  • Hand deliver us a letter at the Shire Administration Building, 953 South Coast Highway Denmark

Submissions close at 5pm, Wednesday 17 April 2024.

Next steps? After the public comment, our team will review and incorporate feedback into the draft DAIP before presenting it to Council for endorsement.

    This survey is part of a review of the Shire of Denmark Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2018-2023. 

    The survey focuses on how the Shire can improve access and inclusion to services, events, buildings, information, public consultations, complaints processes and employment. The results will be used to develop a new DAIP for 2023-2028.

    This survey is being conducted by E-QUAL Disability Consultants. If you are not able to answer all of the questions, please answer the ones that are most important to you.
