This Amendment was originally advertised from 13 October 2022 to 25 November 2022. The Shire has been instructed by the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage to re-advertise the Amendment for 60 days. There have been no changes to the Amendment document.

The Shire of Denmark has prepared a Scheme Amendment for the purpose of (in summary):

  • Rezoning portion of Lot 9010 Beaufortia Gardens, Hay from the Tourist (T9) Zone to Special Residential (sRes6) Zone;
  • Rezoning Lots 193, 194, 195 & 196 Pimelia View, Hay from the Tourist (T9) Zone to the Special Residential (SRes6) Zone;
  • Deleting the Tourist Zone (T9) from Appendix XIII;
  • Modifying Special Provisions as they apply to the Special Residential (sRes6) Zone under Appendix XIV.
  • Rezoning a portion of Lot 9010 from Tourist (T9) Zone to Parks & Recreation Reserve;
  • Correcting zoning anomalies as they relate to the boundary of various Special Residential lots, the alignment of Pimelea View and Beaufortia Gardens and adjacent crown reserves.

This proposal is open for public comment until 8 May 2023.
