It is hereby notified for public information that the Shire has received an application for Development Approval for the purposes described hereunder:

In accordance with the Shire of Denmark Town Planning Scheme No. 3 (TPS No. 3) and the Shire of Denmark’s Dogs Local Law 2001, the proposed Kennel Establishment is required to be advertised for public comment.

The application seeks approval to allow the keeping of 11 working dogs in the ownership of the landowner only and is not intended as a commercial boarding or training facility.

This proposal is available for inspection in order to provide an opportunity for public comment as part of the Shire’s assessment process of the proposal.

Plans of the proposed development are available for viewing here or at the Shire Offices, 953 South Coast Highway, Denmark, during business hours (9am – 4pm weekdays)

Comments on the proposal should be lodged with Planning Services, in writing (email is acceptable) on or before close of business on Friday, 4th September 2026. Please note that any comments received may be referred to the applicant to provide them with an opportunity to address the issues raised in the first instance (NB: names and contact details are removed at this point in time). Should the proposal be referred to Council for determination, all comments will be made publicly available at that time, which may include submitter details.
