Notice is hereby given that the local government of the Shire of Denmark has prepared the above mentioned scheme amendment for the purpose of (in summary):
- Rezoning No.40 (Lot 305) Wentworth Road, Ocean Beach, from ‘Rural’ to ‘Tourist (T15)’;
- Introducing land use definitions for “Brewery” and “Tourist Development”; and
- Inserting ‘Tourist (T15)’ and associated Special Provisions into Appendix XIII – Schedule of Tourist Zones of the Scheme text.
The proposed Tourist zone would allow for a range of tourism land uses including (but not limited to) brewery, boarding house, caravan park, holiday accommodation, tavern, restaurant and reception centre.
This proposal is open for public comment until 1 August 2023
