The Shire is currently advertising a proposed land exchange that involves the realignment of boundaries between Reserve 45473 (including Kingdon Park) and Lot 9003 (#16) Honeymyrtle Circuit, Denmark.
Details of the proposed land exchange are included in the 'Documents' section on the right hand side of this page, including:
- Summary/ plan showing the lots before and after the proposed exchange
- Minutes from the Council meeting on 19 September 2023, including the full officer report
- Plans that accompanied the report to Council on 19 September 2023
The proposed land exchange aims to:
- Create a buffer between land zoned for residential and industrial land uses
- Allow for the connection of drainage infrastructure between Clarke Close and Zimmerman Street
- Allow for the development of a public path between Clarke Close and Honeymyrtle Circuit
- Create an ecological corridor from Buckley Street to Zimmerman Street
- Help reduce constraints to housing development
